This weekend I had the privilege of serving my sisters and brothers by making my very first Thanksgiving Dinner! I made a full meal thanks to the help of my dad’s wonderful recipe’s and the Miss Graysen Reed!
Our menu involved the following:
Sweet Patato Casserole
Mac&Cheese (Hayden Made this)
Home-made Whip Cream :)
Everything was homemade except the Pumpkin Pie! I’d say that’s a great Thanksgiving meal!! And nothing burnt! I’ve never felt more domestic or accomplished in my life. But now I understand why thanksgiving is only once a year…way too much work up in that kitchen!! I spent one day smelling like Clorox form cleaning so much and the next like turkey. But overall I was so very thankful and felt so honored that I could serve my family by cooking for them. I now can’t wait to go home to my family and enjoy a thanksgiving dinner made by my sweet, sweet pap. :)
“If anyone would come after me,” he said, “let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it” (Mark 8:34–35).
