I'm a simple girl from Hereford, TX living in the heart of Downtown Dallas. I have a full, fun life. Love my family, friends, and document some good times along the way.

Lets be honest I’m not good at a lot of things. I’m horrible at keeping up with a regular blog. I can’t follow directions even when a GPS is directing me. I always manage to misplace the exact thing I need two days later, and I hate regular showers. Working 8-5:30 is not my cup of tea and it really makes it almost impossible to be good at things, so sue me.
I decided I needed a good laugh and that so did some of you bored readers out there, so let me go ahead and tell you more about how embarrassing I am and how it comes naturally to me., especially recently.

Yes this story has a two part embarrassment.
Part 1. I was seen and went to Walmart. (as if that isn’t enough embarrassment)
Part 2. Why was at Walmart? Well I was forced to go because my lovely sister and mom decided they wanted to stand in line for hours to get a TV on thanksgiving night instead of stay home and watch football…I was wearing what i thought was a lovely outfit, a little strange for my hometown but lovely none the less. While waiting in hell, I took a potty break, came out and told my sister and mom I couldn’t stand to wait any longer and I would come pick them up later that night. (Mind you I walked to two different locations to tell them that i was leaving. They were in two different lines waiting on two different items, on opposite sides of the store mind you. I noticed people were looking at me, but I figured they just hadn’t seen anyone dressed like me in that small little town so I blew it off. As I exited Walmart after making my rounds, I saw two boys whispering and pointed at my outfit, and i rolled my eyes at them….yet as I walked out I looked down and realized my skirt of my dress was turned up and not pulled all the way down from my bathroom break…. Gosh why can’t i remember to do something so simple!! And why didn’t my sister or mom care to notice!!
Yes all of Walmart had seen my backside….I will never wear this dress again, or show my face in a Walmart again.

On a brighter note I did manage to forget all my Christmas decorations at my parents house…SHOCKER, but thanks to my nama and sister, I received donations and was able to still decorate my home.
Below is my lovely little Tree.

And my homemade wreath.

There really is nothing like decorating for free. I have a few more things to put up, but for now this will do.
I can’t always get everything right, but somehow I manage to survive another day.
Happy Tuesday Friends.
It’s clearly been entirely too long since my last post…here’s what you missed.
1. I went home for thanksgiving and ate enough to feed a small army of dogs
2. Mom made us take family photos, I wasn’t mad until all the attention was taken of me…then I was mad ;)
3. My parents are cooler than yours and my dad sent me home with about 10 steaks and 10 packs of ground beef. #beefitswhatsfordinner literally every night for a month
4. I forgot all my Christmas decorations at moms house and am now accepting donations…seriously
5. I saw an awesome blues cover band in Amarillo, who knew Amarillo had a music scene?
6. I hate driving more than ever and am accepting applications for a personal chauffeur let me know if you’re interested
7. I am ready to sleep all weekend.
Tomorrow!!!
Tomorrow I get to see that handsome man in the purple shirt. That man is the best man to walk this earth, second to Jesus Christ naturally.
This week I was reminded and so thankful for my parents. My dad and mom are honestly THE best picture of Christ I could ever ask for. They consistently remind me that I am not perfect, full of pride, self righteous, and that I’m going to continue to make mistakes. Yet they counter those facts with unconditional love, mercy, and grace. They shower me with love, kisses, gifts, and money when I don’t deserve it. They tell me that there is nothing I can do good or bad that will change the love they have for me. And beyond that, they love others around our community well. They love me in a way that makes me believe that I can do anything and takes away my fear and doubt of the unknown future. I am so blessed and humbled to have them as my parents and I CAN’T WAIT to be home tomorrow so I can be in their presence and thank them in person for all they have done, do for me, and will continue to do.
Thank you Jesus for my parents, may I one day have the honor to love my own children the same.
This weekend was much needed and very relaxing. I hung out Friday night with an old friend from High school who was in town. We drank, talked, laughed, and stayed out entirely too late. Saturday morning, I went to brunch with Ashley in deep ellum and after we walked around the outdoor market where I stumbled upon a couple of deals I couldn’t pass up.
Like this mug which reminds me of my singleness…

And these records that I got for only $4 total!! Rolling stones Exile on Main Street (which is very hard to find) AND Bruce Springsteen, Born in the USA. To say the least I was PUMPED and have been jamming out before I take these puppies home and give em’ to my brother as an early Christmas gift.

Sunday night I went to watch some of my best guy friends preach, which was no only encouraging, but convicting and helped me remember grace, and forgiveness that I so often choose not to give to others when it was so freely given to me. I also go to meet Sujo John check out his I Am Second Video here. He is such an inspiration, and it was great to meet him for sure.

Lastly at church we are getting into the holiday season and about to start Advent. I’m BEYOND excited!! And I get to go home for the holidays J Life is good y’all! Remember the true reason we celebrate life is because of the One who came to give us eternal Life.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well, and get excited for some post all about Hereford, TX!!

Well folks another week has come and gone and here’s what you missed in the life of yours truly.
1. This entire week I woke up earlier than usual, fixed my hair and looked presentable Monday-Friday. This truly is a first and a monumental moment in my life. I’d like to take a moment of silence to thank my mother….
2. I weighed myself for the first time in about a month (I haven’t worked out in about a month) and to my shock I have somehow managed go loose 8 lbs. I triple checked the next 3 days because I thought I was delusional but no folks, miracles do happen. I will disclose my secrets soon.
3. I was offered an opportunity to scout high school athletes and help them find scholarships. Not only is it my dream to stalk high school athletes, I now can make a little extra $$ while doing it.
4. I found out I had 2 extra CTO days at work and will be able to take the full week off for Christmas and New Year’s Eve!! PARTY FOR ME GUYS!!
5. And last but certainly not least my week was made when I heard Hostess was going out of business. America this is the best thing that has ever happened to us, maybe our economy will really boost from not purchasing those crazy unhealthy snacks anymore.
Hope your week was great my dears! Just a few more days til Turkey coma’s for us all!!
Today’s throwback is dedicated to my very favorite little brother, Moses Zuniga. When he was first born, did my mother catch me trying to choke him out? maybe. And did I also try to choke him on a second occasion when we were still wee little babes with a jump rope? maybe again.
Just look at this face of mine, would I ever do something that evil as a child?? Even if I did, that mischievous face of his clearly deserved it!

Point is, despite the fact that I didn’t always like the idea of the attention being put on another child I was able to eventually be mature enough to put that behind me. I even was selfless enough to make a trip home to watch him play his senior year of high school.

And then whenever he moved to Dallas to try and steal my glory, I was still selfless and matched him at a party. He tried to come in and steal my tan, but I clearly one upped him.

I even took one for the team and spent an entire night camping with our friends, and even let my brother smoke that cigar that was rightfully mine!

And then there was the time he got mad about the photo above and I again took one for the team and stuck my tongue out in the picture below so people would instantly forget that moment of embarrassment he had.

Ok, Ok, so lets get real, my brother IS the coolest guy I know. Not only is he the coolest, he’s way more talented and smarter than I ever will be. He’s always had my back, and I know he will forever until we both go home to glory one day. Until then, we will always have great memories, and many many more to make, which I can’t wait to do in a WEEK!!!

Peace out homies! TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!!!!!
I don’t know about you people, but I’m beyond ready to be home for Thanksgiving. I was told by a dear saint of a friend, that the night before thanksgiving is the best time to drink. I didn’t see her point until she listed a few valid reasons.
1. You’re with family, nothing better than drinking and catching up.
2. you can sleep in the next day AND eat as much food as you want to cure any poor decisions made the night before.
3. Refer back to 1 & 2.
Honestly though, I can’t hardly wait to be back in the small town that raised this girl. I’m ready to run in the cold, chill inside and watch TV, and probably read like usual since Hereford has way too much going on for me to make up my mind. And because I have become famous there, it’s hard for me to show my face in public too much. Gotta keep the paparazzi at a minimum when I’m home, I enjoy the privacy. Things I can look forward to in going home are pictured above as well as dad’s cooking, tamales, and leftovers to bring back! Next week come here fast, I can’t take too much more of this fame, I need a break.
;)
Good morning bloggers!!
I hope your weekend was great and if it was anything like mine, it was probably way too long and Monday could not come soon enough, because who doesn’t just love those the normal 8-5 grind??
My weekend was filled with pajama pants, football, and believe it or not an attempt at camping. Kasey and I ventured into the wild but because of my slightly influenced mind and Kasey’s fear of all of us fitting into one tent, we called it an early night and went back home to Dallas. But have no fear, we have the photo for proof as well as the scent of campfire smoke still in my hair after a couple of washes.
You win some you loose some, but you still make memories, good or bad and that’s what life is all about y’all.
Happy Monday, good news about today is that next week we get to be with our families and eat a crap ton of food. Get excited ‘Merica!!
I’m kicking off my weekly Throwback Thursday edition by showcasing the past 6 years of friendship I’ve had with my two BFF’s Ashley Alford & Hannah Steffan. Let me preface that you will see us at our absolute worst and best…it’s like puberty all over again I swear.
THROWBACK CIRCA 2006…yes this was the first time we had gone to a ‘club’ that was obviously just a classy 18 and up place for us lil babies. This night will forever be remembered as the night Hannah revealed her amazing dancing skills to us all…

THROWBACK CIRCA 2007 (Hannah is going to HATE me for this one) This was after our first full year of XC & Track at our annual athletic banquet. We clearly have great style and are models…

THROWBACK CIRCA 2008. Please notice how I’m posing the EXACT same in this photo. Why do I like my already large behind to be the focus of the photo??? This was at ol Billy Bobs where we spent many late nights dancing away.

THROWBACK CIRCA 2009. This was at Outdoor Nationals where the sun was far too bright for a decent photo, but we look better here, thank you Lord. Also meet Laura Mucho…apart of our craziness. :)

THROWBACK CIRCA 2010..and now Laura is going to hate me for this one. haha. We were about to eat dinner this was actually after athletic banquet, but the photo from the banquet was yet again of me posing so ‘cute’ that I couldn’t bear it.

THROWBACK CIRCA 2011. This is when we all moved apart from each other and it was clearly very rough on me hints my hair-do. But Ash and Hannah look great.

THROWBACK CIRCA 2012. Thankfully we got progressively better with age!! I really do love these girls to death and am thankful for ALL our crazy memories we share. Can’t wait to share more in the years to come!

I’ve gotta be honest y’all, I’m not a true american. I didn’t vote this election. I tried…but long story short somehow Hereford, TX failed to update my county I’m registered this summer when I renewed my lisense…and of course I didn’t find this out until early voting….typical move ‘Merica!!!
BUT I did want to point out naturally a few things that I will vote for this new year.
I would vote for best upcoming blog to be my dear friend Kasey’s new blog. Check it out HERE followers, it’s witty, hilarious, factual, and I’m in it! what more could you want ‘Merica???

I would also vote that HK/China would have this same bilboard up from 2008 during this election. Why you ask? I don’t know but there it is! ’Merica!!

I would also vote during the second most important elections, the Voice, for my favorite artist Amanda Jones, she ROCKED it last night and I hope she wins!! ‘Merica!!

I would also vote and put my money on the Giants to win the NFC East. Lets get real people, where’s the competition?? ‘Merrica!!!

I would also vote that if you aren’t already following my twitter, blog, and instragram, that you’re REALLY missing out!!
My twitter is @zunigam22

Don’t be a fool, follow Kasey’s blog as well as my other social media nonsense.
